IBM watsonx Orchestrate reclaims your team's time by automating mundane tasks and simplifying processes with AI. I created the UX experiences for the skills catalog.

UX Design & Web Design
The catalog contains skills which are a wide range of tasks (send email) that have already been created. They are ready to use artificial intelligence to automate various tasks and processes within an organisation. It uses natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning to understand and execute complex workflows.
The skills are designed as cards as we wanted them to be prominent on the page, resembling a catalogue and as visual as possible. Each card features an icon, the skill name, and a description. User research revealed that people preferred a drag-and-drop feature over an edit icon for managing skills in the navigation bar. We incorporated this feedback and followed IBM guidelines to ensure that the primary button is both prominent and clear.
As part of the watsonx Orchestrate team, I focused on a diverse user base, ranging from highly technical individuals to those with minimal technical expertise, and from small businesses to large enterprises. Balancing the experience to meet the needs of all these groups was crucial. The primary focus was HR Professional and Business Decision Makers.
User Journey:
Add a Skill - “send an email.”
One of the most rewarding parts of this project was simplifying AI for all users. The joy came from finding the right solutions—what I’d call finding the ‘x.’ My goal was to make the user experience feel smooth and intuitive, so users, like Lily, could quickly achieve their goals.
